Warrior Forum member DEMANDS a testimonial from his paying customers. PDF Print E-mail

I purchased this course a few months back to see if I could learn any video techniques. I found it rather disappointing, even though I actually enjoyed participating in the forum created alongside this course. The content was actually rather slow moving, but I could see it being a course for true beginners getting familiar with Camtasia.

Since this video has nearly a half million views already, the arguments of it being boring or having a disconnect with the audience are just bizarre. Was it the greatest marketing video ever made? Certainly, not. However, it does not have to be. It is what it is - clever marketing, excellent production, and something quite - different - even for Youtube.

The Short Story of Two Tweets on Twitter PDF Print E-mail

Two tweets one after the other which I feel show the difference between spamming and social marketing. OK, I agree that SPAMMING is not the exact word here, but the only reason I use it is because so many people who do not use Twitter would in fact say this was useless information, and thus declare it a SPAMMY waste of time.

If you were affected by the Westhost server crash in February/2010 that saw some sites offline for nearly a week, then there are some things you should probably do to make sure Google knows you are still in business. After all, if your blog or website normally has crawls from search engines, and then all of a sudden the spiders can't get to your site for a week - well then some of those programs may have written you and your business right off of the internet.

There Is Nothing Wrong With Making Money PDF Print E-mail

For some reason, no one in Social Media is really allowed to make any money. It's verboten. It's against the community spirit. It's the wrong thing to do.

That's just, plain stupid. Yes, the new digital channels are primed for those who are looking to connect, communicate and engage in conversations, but if there is no benefit in the end, then all is lost. For some, that end benefit will be dollars in the bank, for others it will be social capital (check out Tara Hunt's amazing book, The Whuffie Factor, for more on that), for some it will be the growth of their personal brand (which in turn will help them create ventures in other channels for monetary gain), and others do it simply as a way to stay connected and learn from more people.

Create your audio file first for your videos. PDF Print E-mail

One of the things I have noticed about different tutorials in screencasting is that most recommendations about producing videos don't cover enough content in regards to the script and audio of the production. When I first started making videos, I was certainly more interested in the aspect of capturing something live and being able to comment on it in-the-moment style.
