Somebody on the Warrior forum asked about hosting videos on Amazon S3, self-hosted or Youtube and was wondering about the best option. Some responses mentioned that Youtube is slow and suffers from poor quality and limited features. I must whole heartily disagree.

Okay I must say that I did have a look at this program after all, and just so you know I was VERY impressed with the presentation, navigation, and organization of the product. It seems now that the "second" launch is now the in thing to do, because only then do you have everything ready to go as promised. The same thing is happening right now with Link Liberation 2, which was mess-of-a-launch last year.

These are the resources I use to create videos on my Mac. For the record I have an iMac, a MacBook Pro, and an iPhone which I also use sometimes for video recording. Most of my work is screencasting, or what I call ComboCasting because I like to combine a lot of real video footage with screen recordings. It just makes for more interesting productions.

So these are the products which I could be using on any given day, depending on the project.

After doing this for more than 5 years now, I have come to some conclusions about video marketing on Youtube. Don't get into it looking for the quickie solution. You will only have temporary success (if any) and your work will have to be done over and over =again just to keep up. What you should be looking to do is add value for the viewer. When you make a video, ask youself first "How is this going to help my audience?" Then you can figure out how to monetize the value you offer.

You may have seen an increased number of Youtube videos that have built-in links to other videos, normally placed near the end of the video. This strategy helps Youtube marketers keep viewers within their channel, rather than ending up on someone else's channel. It's a good strategy that I am going to be using in my video marketing in the future. Here is how I created such links in a recent video production using Screenflow and the annotations features in Youtube.

Several have argued that it is okay to leave ums in your audio, but tif you want to sound prfessional and not drive viewers away, you should be looking to keep these to a minimum. I know for me, I find it very irritating to listen to such a presentation, and it also, at least subconsciously makes me feel you are careless about what you are marketing.
